Hi Andrew. I used to use PHPBB to run a forum for Keith Lango quite a few years back. I was always fighting the spammers too They are such a nuisance. I don't think you have it implemented if I remember correctly when registering, but it helps to have to have an email confirmation link sent out for new people registering. Also, I don't remember if it's an option in the board, but if you set the posts to have to have one of those things where you type in a word to be able to post should help. It's an annoying extra step for users but it is better than getting overloaded with spam posts anyway. Good luck.
