Constrain on IK hand problem
Posted: Fri Jul 04, 2014 10:42 pm
Hello!
First of all, I bet it's nothing new, but I really dig the Malcolm rig, it's so appealing and flexible, it's great
I'm doing an animation shot and in it Malcolm hold hands, so I made one hand (FK) control the other hand (IK) via parent constrain.
The problem is that when I skip to the next keyframe or even when I scrub the timeline or make a playblast, the first frame (the frame of the keyframe itself)
the IK hand is off of its correct place. Once I go one frame ahead it jumps to the correct place where I posed it.
I tried to put the constrain on different objects on different places in the hierarchy but they all seem to create the same problem.
Currently I added it to the constrain on the grp1ArmIkLf where the Chest/Body/World constrains are.
Is there a solution for this problem?
It's pretty distracting when trying to asses the animation.
I put a video example. I hope it's clear.
Please let me know if any other information is needed. Maya version is 2014.

(Sorry, don't know why the embedding of the video is not working)
Thanks,
Nir.
